Ackcio builds wireless monitoring systems for the geotechnical, mining and civil infrastructure industries. Our hardware and software keep watch over mines, tunnels and major infrastructure projects for customers across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. We are a lean team of about 12 people, where every function is run by one strong owner, and we are growing fast as larger project orders come in.

The Role

This is a solo finance role: you are the whole finance team. AR, AP, accounting and management reporting all sit with you, and you will work directly with our CEO and COO. We need someone who can bring our books into clean, trustworthy shape and turn them into clear numbers we can act on, from product margins to cash planning and board reporting. We also expect AI to do much of the heavy lifting, so you will use it every day to work faster and smarter.

What You'll Own

• Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and month-end close in Xero
• Restructure our Xero setup so the numbers are trustworthy
• Deposit and pre-shipment invoices from automated order alerts
• Multi-currency collections (USD and SGD) and overdue chasing
• Supplier, contract manufacturer and logistics payments, often in advance
• Clean cut-off: stock received versus supplier invoices
• Monthly management accounts: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• True margin by product, not just a company P&L
• 13-week cash view for large, milestone-paid projects
• Board and investor reporting packs
• Payroll, GST, grant claims, annual audit and statutory filings
• Written SOPs for every cash-in and cash-out step

AI-Native (Must-Have)

• You already use AI daily in your finance work
• AI drafts reports and commentary; you review and finalise
• AI-assisted reconciliation, matching and anomaly checks
• Automations linking Xero, Salesforce, banks and spreadsheets
• Xero data clean enough to feed our live dashboards
• Where Xero falls short, you build the workaround
• You always verify AI output against source data

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on accounting or finance experience
• Has run finance solo, or as lead, in an SME or startup
• Strong Xero user, confident with spreadsheets
• Full-cycle close, multi-currency and GST experience
• Management reports that founders actually use
• ACCA, CPA, CA or accounting degree preferred

Bonus Points

• Manufacturing, hardware or product company background
• Inventory, BOM and component costing experience
• Knows the trade-offs of FIFO, average and standard costing
• Mapping stock, components and COGS cleanly into Xero
• Zapier, Make or light scripting skills
