About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Application Maintenance / Production Support Engineer to support and maintain enterprise applications under the Client Entitlement Workflow (CEW) and Payment Data Repository (PDR) platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java Spring Boot development, Unix/Linux environments, and Oracle databases.

The role involves L3 production support, incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, application maintenance, and minor development activities to ensure system stability and availability in a banking or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 application maintenance and production support for CEW and PDR applications.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system-related incidents within defined SLA timelines.
• Monitor application health, system performance, and batch processing activities.
• Support application deployments, configuration, and maintenance across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve technical issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring incidents.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational reports.
• Assist with application enhancements, bug fixes, and minor development activities.
• Ensure application availability, security compliance, and operational stability.
• Participate in release activities, production validation, and post-deployment support.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in application support, application maintenance, or backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, preferably RHEL, SUSE Linux, or equivalent distributions.
• Experience working with Oracle Database 12c/19c.
• Good understanding of SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience investigating production incidents and supporting enterprise applications.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Client Entitlement Workflow (CEW) and Payment Data Repository (PDR) applications.
• Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic and JBoss application servers.
• Experience with Apache Web Server configuration and support.
• Familiarity with Shell Scripting and automation tasks.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL, including procedures, views, and indexes.
• Exposure to workflow systems and enterprise process management platforms.
• Understanding of banking applications, production support, incident management, and SLA-driven support processes.
