What you'll do:

As a Technical Delivery Manager - Banking Applications based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of technology projects within a complex financial services environment. • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of IT projects, including application enhancements, change requests, and production fixes for critical banking systems.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define project scope, and agree on technical solutions that align with organisational goals.
• Oversee requirements analysis, data sourcing activities, application design processes, and preparation of detailed functional specifications for financial applications.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that include schedules, deliverables, resource allocation, and management of dependencies across multiple teams.
• Coordinate internal technical teams as well as external vendors to ensure seamless execution of project tasks and achievement of milestones.
• Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution processes, and production deployment activities to maintain system stability.
• Monitor delivery progress by identifying risks and issues early on and implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Handle change requests, application defects, release controls, and documentation updates to maintain high standards of system quality and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members while fostering a culture of collaboration across distributed teams.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through regular communication and engagement to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions supporting business operations.

Your background should demonstrate deep familiarity with enterprise-scale financial applications-particularly those related to management reporting or profitability analysis-and an understanding of how these systems integrate with core banking platforms. High proficiency in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), PL/SQL programming languages, Unix Shell Scripting techniques, large database management practices, ERwin modelling tools usage-and ideally some exposure to Oracle Hyperion Essbase or OBIEE-will enable you to deliver robust solutions efficiently. If you have additional experience using R programming or similar analytics tools it would further enhance your profile.

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience within banking or financial services environments is required for this role.
• Relevant hands-on experience with financial applications such as management reporting or profitability-related systems is essential.
• A thorough understanding of banking financial systems covering areas like general ledger, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is expected.
• Familiarity with data flows from core banking systems as well as treasury platforms is important for success in this position.
• Experience in data mapping, data sourcing activities, and integration with data warehouses is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), application development methodologies, and project delivery best practices is necessary.
• Proven track record in requirements analysis, functional design creation, and technical solution delivery for enterprise-scale applications is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams-including external vendors-and coordinate multiple stakeholders across regions is vital.
• Excellent communication skills combined with analytical thinking abilities are needed to resolve problems efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders across regional or international locations is key.
• Core Requirements: Extensive experience with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), especially Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Profitability Management modules; high proficiency in PL/SQL programming; advanced Unix Shell Scripting skills; experience working with large-scale databases; familiarity with ERwin data modelling tools; strong understanding of Oracle-based financial applications environments.
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Essbase; familiarity with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE); experience using R programming would be advantageous.
