Job Summary

• We are looking for a freelance or part-time WordPress and AI Full Stack Developer with at least five years of professional web development experience to build, maintain, and improve client websites and deliver production-ready AI-assisted apps and plugins.
• The ideal candidate has strong WordPress development skills, solid full-stack experience, and uses AI tools such as Claude Code, Antigravity, or Cursor as a core part of how they build, test, and ship.
• This role requires independent working, attention to detail, and clear communication with clients and the project team.
• Candidates must be prepared to share their portfolio, showcasing relevant WordPress, full-stack, and AI development projects and explaining their contribution to the work.

Job Description: WordPress Development

• Build and customise WordPress websites, themes, plugins, page builders, and page layouts based on project requirements and approved designs.
• Maintain existing websites, including content updates, bug fixes, and WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates.
• Work with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement functionality and resolve technical issues.
• Integrate CRMs, APIs, forms, registration systems, client portals, and third-party tools.
• Ensure websites are responsive and work correctly across desktop, tablet, mobile devices, and major browsers.
• Improve website speed, performance, usability, and security.
• Perform backups and test changes in a staging environment before updating live websites.

Job Description: AI and Full Stack Development

• Use AI to explore business problems, generate product ideas, and turn initial requirements into working prototypes. Clarify assumptions and proposed solutions with the project team.
• Use Claude Code, Antigravity, Cursor, or similar tools to generate, refactor, test, and document code, continually improving development workflows.
• Review and test all AI-generated code before deployment. Use automated reviews, testing, and feedback processes to identify issues and improve code quality.
• Manage development from initial ideas and architecture through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and optimise AI applications using large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), including chatbots, content assistants, smart search, and workflow automation.
• Integrate AI functionality into websites, applications, and WordPress plugins through suitable APIs and services.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven applications for relevant business use cases.
• Help build and deploy AI agents that maintain context, perform approved actions, and support ongoing workflows. Contribute to defining their behaviour, oversight, and operating limits.

Requirements: Must Have

• At least five years of professional web development experience, including WordPress and full-stack development.
• Proven experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins beyond page-builder configuration.
• Full-stack skills across PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience shipping at least one AI-powered feature, app, or plugin to production using LLM APIs, such as Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini.
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Antigravity, or Cursor, with a clear process for reviewing and testing AI-generated code.
• Familiarity with APIs, CRM integrations, Git, staging environments, deployment, and website testing.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and meet agreed deadlines.
• Willingness to share a portfolio of relevant projects and discuss the technical approach, individual contributions, and delivered results.

Requirements: Nice to Have

• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, or prompt engineering.
• Experience building AI agents or automation workflows.
• Machine learning experience using Python and common ML frameworks.
• A GitHub profile demonstrating relevant development work or open-source contributions.

Ways of Working

• Communicate clearly in English to understand client requirements, explain technical matters, and provide progress updates.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver work within agreed timelines.
• Flag technical risks, unclear requirements, and potential delays promptly.
• Protect client data and login credentials, and obtain approval before using third-party tools, services, or AI platforms with client data.
• Document changes and provide clear handover notes for completed work.
