We're Hiring: Finance Specialist – Accounting Operations

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract: Contract (Extendable)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Minimum 5 days per month in office)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Specialist to support general accounting, financial reporting, month-end and quarter-end closing activities, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with process owners and business teams to ensure monthly and quarterly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform accounting activities, including manual journal entries and financial closing tasks.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and reporting procedures.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and account write-ups.
• Track and complete assigned tasks using Reconsmart or other relevant applications.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support data gathering, analysis, and reporting activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in SAP is an added advantage.
• Shared Services and Oil & Gas industry experience would be preferred.
