SPECIALIST TECHNICAL FOUNDATION SECTION, UNIKL MESTECH

KEY ROLES :

• Support and assist in laboratory management activities, including inventory management, procurement, laboratory safety, and audit preparation.
• Lead or assist in training programmes, workshops, and events related to the assigned functions.
• Guide and assist in the preparation, management, and maintenance of laboratory accreditation documentation in compliance with ISO 15189 standards.
• Deliver teaching and practical laboratory sessions in relevant areas, particularly Microbiology and Immunology.
• Supervise and guide students undertaking Final Year Projects (FYP) in relevant fields, particularly Microbiology and Immunology.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• Additional training or certification in ISO 15189 documentation and quality management systems is an added advantage.
• Relevant laboratory experience, particularly in the preparation, management, and maintenance of ISO 15189 documentation.
• Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in related field.
• Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in Immunology and Microbiology laboratory procedures.
• Familiarity with laboratory quality systems, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly meticulous and organised, particularly in documentation, file management, and laboratory quality systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide, support, and assist students effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining laboratory standards and quality requirements.
