Lead and manage secured litigation matters, including foreclosure proceedings, auctions, contested cases, bankruptcy actions and legal recovery processes. Drive timely and effective resolution of litigation cases through close management of external solicitors and internal stakeholders while safeguarding the Bank’s interests and maximising recovery outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the secured litigation portfolio, including foreclosure, auction, bankruptcy and contested legal matters.

• Drive achievement of litigation and recovery targets through timely legal actions and resolution strategies.

• Oversee litigation processes from commencement to conclusion and ensure compliance with agreed timelines.

• Manage panel solicitors and monitor legal actions to ensure recovery objectives are achieved.

• Review affidavits, legal documents, statements of account and other legal submissions for completeness and accuracy.

• Assess contested matters and formulate litigation strategies with Group Legal and external solicitors.

• Attend hearings, case management sessions and meetings with solicitors where required.

• Work closely with recovery teams to identify settlement opportunities where commercially viable.

• Monitor foreclosure and auction outcomes and recommend actions to improve recovery results.

• Maintain litigation trackers, management reports and escalation controls for key cases.

• Ensure compliance with Bank policies, regulatory requirements and legal guidelines.

• Undertake any other duties assigned by management.

• Strong knowledge of secured recovery litigation, foreclosure proceedings and contested matters.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Business, Banking, Finance or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking collections, recovery, litigation management or legal recovery operations.

• Proven experience managing secured litigation matters, including foreclosure, auction and contested cases.
