Job Title: Data Architect (Technical Lead)

Location: Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Salary: RM 7,500 – RM 11,000 per month

We are seeking a Data Architect (Technical Lead) to shape and drive our enterprise data infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Big Data & Analytics, you will move beyond standard ticket execution to take full ownership of the architectural roadmap across our core enterprise data platforms. This role is structured for an experienced Senior Data Engineer, BI Specialist, or Data Warehouse Lead ready to step into enterprise architecture and technical team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, define, and govern the blueprint for our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), data marts, and integration frameworks across business units.
• Lead, mentor, and elevate the delivery standards of a dedicated data engineering team.
• Translate complex commercial and analytics requirements into scalable dimensional models and production-ready data pipelines.
• Establish engineering best practices, oversee performance tuning across production database environments, and maintain data security standards.
• Partner directly with analytics leadership and key stakeholders to align data infrastructure with organizational priorities.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise data warehousing, business intelligence, and large-scale data management environments.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Macro).
• Advanced SQL expertise across major relational database engines (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Practical mastery of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and enterprise ETL design.
• Proven track record in query optimization, database performance tuning, and resolving complex pipeline bottlenecks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.

Package & Environment

• Monthly base salary of RM 7,500 – RM 11,000, commensurate with experience.
• Prime office location in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, with immediate public transit access.
• Permanent, full-time position offering direct reporting visibility to group leadership.
