Job Overview

China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Chargeman to join our project team in Bintulu, Sarawak. You will be responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining electrical installations, high/low voltage systems, and heavy equipment power supplies to ensure safe and continuous project operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical System Operation: Manage and maintain temporary power supply systems, transformers, switchgears, and main distribution boards across site operations.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Perform quick diagnosis and repair of electrical faults to minimize operational downtime.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical works comply strictly with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations, SESCO / Sarawak Energy standards, and project safety guidelines.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance (PM) for site electrical infrastructure.
• Subcontractor Supervision: Oversee electrical subcontractors and specialized testing vendors during installation and commissioning.
• Emergency Support: Act as the primary responder for electrical failures or emergencies on site.

Requirements

• Mandatory Certification: Possess a valid Chargeman Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) (Category: A0 / A1 / A4 / B0 / B4—select as required).
• Work Location: Willing to be based full-time at our project site in Bintulu, Sarawak.
• Experience: Minimum [e.g., 3–5] years of relevant experience in construction, heavy industries, or infrastructure projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiar with site power generation (generators), distribution boards, and local Sarawak Energy / SESCO compliance requirements.
• Attributes: Strong problem-solving ability, high safety awareness, and capability to work effectively under pressure.
