Duties

• Lead and coordinate the English Department to ensure effective teaching and learning.
• Develop and monitor the English curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment plans.
• Support, mentor, and observe English teachers to improve teaching quality.
• Ensure lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments meet school and curriculum standards.
• Monitor student performance and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.
• Coordinate departmental meetings, professional development, and resource planning.
• Organise English-related programmes, competitions, and enrichment activities.
• Work closely with the school leadership team on academic planning and curriculum development.
• Communicate with parents regarding academic matters when required.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Previous experience in a leadership or coordinator role is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and support teachers.
• Passionate about teaching, curriculum development, and student achievement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
