Role Description The Fjc Technician is responsible for executing field joint coating activities on pipeline projects, ensuring coatings are applied to specification and in line with safety and quality requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing work areas, operating blasting and coating equipment, assisting with induction heating, and applying anti-corrosion coatings and infill materials as directed by supervisors or engineers. The technician will perform inspections of coated joints, document work performed, and report any issues or deviations from project standards. This is a contract, on-site.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in field joint coating or related pipeline coating work, including surface preparation and application of anti-corrosion coatings.
• Familiarity with blasting, induction heating, and coating equipment, with the ability to follow standard operating procedures and technical instructions.
• Understanding of safety practices and quality standards relevant to pipeline construction, preferably within ISO-accredited environments.
• Ability to read and follow basic work instructions, coating specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in diverse, multicultural site teams.
• Willingness to work in outdoor and industrial environments, including variable shifts and project-based schedules.
• Previous experience in oil and gas, pipeline construction, or industrial coating is an advantage.
• Relevant vocational or technical certification in coatings, welding-related trades, or industrial maintenance is beneficial.
