INSPECTOR OF WORKS (CIVIL & STRUCTURE)

Location:

1) Ampang, Selangor

2) Kepong, Selangor

Job Description:

• Conduct regular inspections on pipelines, reservoirs, pumping stations, and treatment plants to ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, and applicable regulations.

• Record site activities, monitor schedule adherence and project delays, and assist in preparing progress and interim payment claims.

• Liaise with contractors, consultants, water operator and utilities providers; advise on modifications to resolve issues encountered on site.

• Maintain detailed records (site diaries, inspection logs, memos), issue site non-compliance memos, and assist with claim verifications.

• Monitor contractor’s compliance with HSSE standards and report any unsafe practices observed.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Polytechnic certificate in Civil Engineering

• With at least 3 years of experiences as an IOW or similar role in construction industry

• Prefer experience in supervising water supply projects or infrastructure contracts or any similar utilities projects.

• Registered as an Inspector of Works with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)

• Technical Skills: Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft Office; understanding of water supply standards and regulatory frameworks.

• Communication: Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with stakeholders and prepare technical reports.
