About the Role

Are you a visionary technology executive capable of transforming a massive corporate ecosystem into an AI-first, data-driven power?

Our Client —one of Malaysia's premier, multi-sector conglomerates is seeking a Head of Technology Strategy & Connected Workplace to lead the enterprise-wide digital evolution.

Reporting directly to the executive leadership layer, you will serve as the strategic integrator unifying Corporate Strategy, Group IT, the Data Office, Group Corporate Functions, and our diverse portfolio of Operating Companies (OpCos). You will hold complete accountability for architecting and executing the long-term digital workplace aspiration, translating multi-entity technology investments into measurable business value, massive productivity gains, and an enhanced digital employee experience (EX).

Organizational Structure & Leadership

In this role, you will provide functional leadership to an elite, specialized team. Your direct reports include:

• Enterprise Architect: Guiding target-state technology blueprints and group roadmaps.
• PMO – Governance: Coordinating governance forums, portfolio tracking, and strategic tracking.
• Business Analysis: Leading process assessments to translate business needs into transformation requirements.

Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities

1. Connected Workplace & OpCo Transformation

• Lead the development, evolution, and cross-functional execution of Group-wide digital workplace roadmap.
• Conduct Group Digital Maturity Assessments to guide individual OpCos in building aligned digital, data, and AI strategies, unlocking ecosystem-wide synergies.
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of digital-first ways of working across Group corporate functions.

2. Enterprise Technology, Data & AI Architecture

• Own and maintain the Group Technology Strategy, Enterprise Architecture blueprints, and Digital Platform guardrails to reduce system duplication and maximize integration.
• Partner closely with the Data Office to implement Single Source of Truth (SSOT) initiatives, ensuring data quality, harmonization, and AI readiness across HQ and OpCos.
• Set the strategic direction for system integration, API management, and platform connectivity to enable seamless information flow.
• Actively scout emerging technologies (GenAI, Agentic AI, Automation, Cloud) to continuously inject measurable business value into the pipeline.

3. AI, Agentic Transformation & Governance

• Identify, prioritize, and deploy enterprise AI use cases and intelligent automation workflows.
• Establish strict governance over enterprise AI agents and digital co-workers, ensuring trusted, responsible, and secure AI adoption.
• Lead digital governance structures and support the Digital Steering Committee, aligning all tech actions with risk, cybersecurity, and regulatory mandates.

4. Workforce Capability & Value Realisation

• Champion "Human + AI" operating models by architecting AI literacy, future-skills programs, innovation labs, and digital community building.
• Establish robust business-value and benefits frameworks to rigorously track productivity gains, time savings, cost avoidance, and value creation.

What We Are Looking For

• Conglomerate or Matrix Leadership: Proven experience managing technology strategy, enterprise architecture, or complex digital transformation across a large multi-entity conglomerate, Government-Linked Company (GLC), or top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., Big 4 / Accenture).
• Strategic Architecture & Data Mastery: Deep technical literacy across modern enterprise tech stacks, API/integration frameworks, data governance models, and enterprise analytics deployment.
• AI Frontier Expertise: Practical experience designing roadmaps for automation, machine learning, and emerging Agentic AI / Generative AI workflows.
• Executive Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; an executive who can seamlessly communicate technical milestones as clear financial and operational ROI to the Board and C-suite.
