Safety Health Officer
Summary:
- Responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing occupational safety and health (OSH) regulations, part of the team conduct risk assessments, implementing safety and health programs.
- Plays a crucial role in preventing workplace accidents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and promoting safety and health culture within an organization.
- Investigate incidents and prepare an incident report.
Key Responsibilities:
- Part of the team conduct risk assessments and enforce the control measures.
- Reviewing existing OSH policies and measures and updating according to legislation.
- Initiating and organizing OSH training of employees and executives.
- Perform an incident investigation in the place of work.
- Performing emergency response drills and participating in emergency teams.
- Inspecting the place of work for adherence to regulations on OSH matters.
- Designing and delivering OSH strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Advising on and ensuring the compliance of OSH documents and policies.
- Maintaining an awareness of all developments in the field of corporate OSH practices.
- Assisting with the development of strategic plans for OSH.
- Liaise with OSH related regulatory bodies e.g. DOSH.
- Outline OSH matters into operational procedures.
- Participate in project meetings and quality briefings as required.
- Comply with Quality, Health & Safety Policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or a related field.
- Must possess a valid Safety and Health Officer (SHO) registration with DOSH (JKKP).
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Safety and Health Officer in the construction industry, preferably in M&E or data centre projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, applicable Malaysian safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Good understanding of ISO 45001, HIRARC, JSA, Method Statements, and Permit to Work (PTW).
- Proven experience in managing site safety, conducting safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response activities.
- Experience coordinating and monitoring safety compliance among subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in preparing EHS reports, safety documentation, audit reports, and incident investigation reports.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and ensure compliance with project safety standards.
- Willing to be based at the project site and travel as required.
- Experience in data centre construction or large-scale M&E projects will be an added advantage.
Working Hour
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm
Saturday 8.00am to 12noon (Alternate)

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
