Job Description
Content & Story Development
The core of the role. You identify the stories worth telling, get the access needed to tell them, and ensure the output is on-brand, commercially relevant, and consistently high quality.
- Spot and develop stories from across the business: frontline colleagues, customer wins, sector insights, and moments that show what OCS does and why it matters
- Build enough trust and rapport that subject matter experts and customers who would never normally go on camera actually do
- Capture day-to-day content yourself using your phone for authentic, lo-fi social formats
- Write social media posts, articles, and case studies in line with OCS tone of voice, in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Upload and manage content in our CMS, keeping our local presence current and on-brand
- Brief and manage external suppliers such as videographers or photographers when the work calls for it
Commercial Alignment
You are the person who makes commercial priorities visible, credible, and compelling in market.
- Work with the Commercial Director to understand pipeline priorities and translate them into content and activation plans
- Support bids and customer pursuits with tailored materials, case studies, and presentations
- Work with sales and operations to support new customer acquisition and cross-sell through account-based marketing campaigns
- Plan and execute CRM and email marketing campaigns that support the customer journey, from prospect engagement to retention
- Stay across what is happening in your key sectors, particularly data centres and manufacturing, so your content stays relevant and credible
- Gather and share competitor and market intelligence with both the regional marketing team and the local commercial and operations team, helping sharpen how OCS positions itself in Malaysia
Internal Mobilisation, Brand & Communications
Getting good content means getting people to participate. A significant part of this role is building the internal relationships and structures that make that possible.
- Lead the OCS Malaysia Content Committee, a regular forum that brings leaders across the organisation together to surface stories, share updates, and align on marketing priorities
- Motivate colleagues across the business to participate in content, share stories, and engage with OCS marketing activity
- Produce internal communications on key business initiatives, milestones, and wins, keeping Malaysian colleagues informed and connected to the broader OCS story
- Own the local LinkedIn presence: consistent posting, on-brand, editorially sharp
- Ensure all external-facing content meets brand guidelines and tone of voice in both languages
- Represent OCS at local industry events, forums, and chambers of commerce
- Support employer brand activity, helping position OCS as a place people want to work
Planning & Reporting
- Build and manage a quarterly content and activation calendar aligned to commercial priorities
- Manage the local marketing budget across events and activations, tracking spend and reporting on return
- Track content performance and share regular updates with the regional team
- Collaborate with regional digital and content teams to ensure local activity connects to the wider plan
Criteria
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a B2B environment
- Proven experience in content creation, campaign execution, and stakeholder engagement
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CMS platforms, CRM tools and basic SEO principles
- Experience working with commercial teams and aligning marketing with business strategy.
- Strong writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with examples of content produced for professional audiences
- Experience identifying, developing, and managing video or multimedia content, including briefing and managing production partners
- Comfortable capturing basic content on mobile for day-to-day social formats
- Experience managing a marketing budget, including supplier selection, briefing, and spend accountability
- Basic experience with digital advertising, including paid social or search, is an advantage
