Role Summary
The KYC Onboarding Analyst is responsible for conducting customer due diligence
(CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews to support customer onboarding
activities. This role ensures all customer information, supporting documents, and risk
assessments are completed accurately and in accordance with internal policies,
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end KYC reviews for individual and corporate customer onboarding.
- Verify customer identification documents and supporting information using reliable and independent sources.
- Review Proof of Identity (POI), Proof of Address (POA), business registration documents, and other onboarding requirements.
- Ensure customer profiles are complete, accurate, and compliant before account activation.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews in accordance with AML/CFT requirements.
- Perform customer risk assessments based on customer profile, industry, geography, and business activities.
- Escalate high-risk customers and exceptions for further review where required.
- Perform sanctions screening, PEP screening, adverse media screening, and name screening using designated compliance tools.
- Investigate potential matches and document findings appropriately.
- Ensure all screening results are reviewed and resolved within agreed SLA timelines.
- Documentation & Quality Control
- Maintain accurate records of customer reviews, supporting documents, and compliance decisions.
- Ensure all onboarding activities meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and remediation activities when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Law, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in KYC, CDD, Customer Onboarding, AML Compliance, Risk Operations, or related functions.
- Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, shared services, or BPO environments is preferred.
