POSITION OVERVIEW

Reka Teguh Runding Sdn Bhd is a consulting engineering firm specialising in geotechnical engineering services, with strong expertise in slope engineering, earthworks, foundation design, and geotechnical analysis.

The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, analysing, and supervising geotechnical works for various infrastructure and building projects. The role requires strong technical capability, coordination with project stakeholders, and ensuring all deliverables comply with design standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project & Management Supervision

• Manage, supervise, and monitor assigned projects in accordance with management direction, technical requirements, and project timelines.
• Coordinate site activities and technical works to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with specifications.
• Support project planning, technical problem-solving, and construction stage coordination.

2. Design & Technical Engineering

• Perform geotechnical analysis, modelling, and design for slope stability, earthworks, foundation systems, retaining structures, and related works.
• Develop engineering solutions and provide technical recommendations including design optimisation, material suitability, and construction methodology.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, road authority requirements, and geotechnical standards.

3. Software & Technical Application

• Conduct analysis and design using industry-standard geotechnical software, including but not limited to:
• AutoCAD
• Civil 3D
• GeoStudio
• Slope/W (Slope-X)
• Interpret modelling results and translate findings into practical engineering solutions and recommendations.

4. Drawing & Documentation

• Ensure all drawings are prepared accurately in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Prepare tender drawings, construction drawings, and detailed geotechnical drawings.
• Review and coordinate drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency across disciplines.

5. Site Coordination & Technical Support

• Attend site visits when required for measurement verification and drawing coordination.
• Assist engineers in ensuring drawings reflect actual site conditions
• Coordinate with site teams and contractors for technical clarification related to drawings.

6. General Support

• Support engineers in preparing presentation drawings and technical documentation.
• Assist in design coordination meetings and technical discussions when required.
• Ensure timely completion of drawings according to project schedules and deadlines

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge in GeoStudio and Slope/W will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of geotechnical and civil engineering works.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and responsible in drafting work.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
