Join us as a Finance Manager in a fast-paced environment where you will drive financial excellence across engineering and construction projects. Lead finance operations, project cost control, reporting, budgeting, and process improvements while partnering with teams to support business growth and success.


Job Descriptions

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee and monitor the full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies;
  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for corporate and management review;
  • Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends, providing clear explanations and recommendations to management;
  • Support corporate consolidation and group reporting requirements;


Project & Cost Control (Construction Focus)

  • Monitor project budgets, cost reports, work-in-progress (WIP), and project margins;
  • Review project claims, progress billings, variations, and retention balances;
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost allocation in accordance with project status;
  • Work closely with project and contract teams to track financial performance of projects;


Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and working capital requirements;
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit control;
  • Ensure timely collection of progress payments and effective management of payables;


Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling cash flow projections;
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis;


Audit, Tax & Compliance

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities;
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and corporate governance policies;
  • Review tax computations, provisions, and deferred tax where applicable;


Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Establish, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures;
  • Improve financial reporting systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and transparency;
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and quality systems (if applicable);


Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Supervise and guide the accounts and finance team;
  • Coordinate with project, procurement, and corporate teams on finance-related matters;
  • Provide financial support and advice to management as required;


Others

  • Handle ERP system-related issues;
  • Handle ad-hoc financial analyses and special assignments as required by management.


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is an advantage;
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in engineering or construction industry;
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control;
  • Experience in handling full set of accounts independently;
  • Good understanding of Malaysian statutory and tax requirements;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems;
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills;
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
  • Willing to be based at Bukit Jelutong Industrial Park.
