SAP CO Lead – S/4HANA Transformation | Shah Alam, Malaysia

We are looking for an experienced SAP CO Lead with 15+ years of SAP experience to lead the SAP Controlling workstream for a large-scale S/4HANA transformation project with a leading manufacturing client.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP CO solution design, configuration, integration, testing, cutover and go-live activities.
• Provide strong expertise across Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, CO-PA, Overhead Accounting and Period-End Closing.
• Lead complex Product Costing processes, including costing variants, BOM/routing integration, costing sheets, overhead calculation, standard cost estimates, production order costing, WIP, variance calculation and settlement.
• Drive Material Ledger and Actual Costing, including inventory valuation and actual cost component analysis.
• Design and implement Account-Based CO-PA / Margin Analysis, including profitability reporting, allocations, derivations and settlement.
• Lead CO activities across Greenfield, Brownfield and Bluefield / Selective Data Transition S/4HANA implementations.
• Conduct Fit-to-Standard / Fit-to-Gap workshops and collaborate with finance and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Ensure seamless integration of CO with FI, MM, PP, SD, PS and PM.
• Provide strong expertise in FI-CO integration and Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
• Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, data validation and reconciliation.
• Support data migration, mock cutover, final cutover, production deployment and hypercare.
• Lead period-end and year-end closing activities, including allocations, assessments, settlements, WIP and variance calculations.
• Review functional specifications, integration designs and technical developments related to CO.
• Lead and mentor SAP CO consultants and act as the primary CO SME for business stakeholders and project leadership.
• Drive root-cause analysis and resolution of critical CO issues.
• Ensure adherence to S/4HANA best practices, solution quality, documentation and compliance.

Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP CO within manufacturing environments, with proven expertise in S/4HANA transformation projects, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Actual Costing, CO-PA and period-end closing.
