About the Role:

MARVEX (M) SDN BHD is looking for a CNC Grinding Machinist to join our team in Shah Alam, working with Rollomatic GrindSmart and ShapeSmart CNC grinding machines. The role is primarily responsible for the mechanical setup and operation of CNC grinding machines, interpreting tool drawings and grinding programs, carrying out quality inspections, and applying the necessary corrections and offsets to achieve the required tool specifications and tolerances.

Job Responsibilities:

CNC Grinding & Machine Setup

• Set up and operate Rollomatic GrindSmart and ShapeSmart CNC grinding machines to manufacture high-precision cutting tools
• Interpret technical drawings, tool specifications and grinding programs
• Perform mechanical setup of machines, tooling and workholding components
• Prepare and dress grinding wheels according to production requirements
• Monitor the grinding process and machine performance to ensure consistent production quality
• Adjust machine parameters, tooling and settings as required during production
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machining and grinding issues

Quality Inspection & Correction

• Perform in-process and final inspections of precision cutting tools
• Verify tool dimensions and geometry against technical drawings and specifications
• Use precision measuring equipment such as Zoller genius, profile projectors/scopes, micrometers and calipers
• Identify dimensional or geometric deviations during inspection
• Apply the necessary machine corrections and offsets to maintain accuracy and consistency
• Ensure finished tools meet the required specifications and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in CNC grinding or precision machining is an advantage, but not required
• Experience with Rollomatic CNC grinding machines is an added advantage
• Fresh graduates and candidates without prior CNC grinding experience are encouraged to apply
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in precision cutting-tool manufacturing

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and cutting-tool specifications
• Basic knowledge of dimensional measurement and inspection is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work independently
• Willingness to learn new machining processes and technologies
• Ability to monitor and maintain consistent production quality
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work shift hours as required
