Role Description The Senior Procurement Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This position is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing materials and services, issuing and monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to support engineering and fabrication projects. The role involves evaluating and developing suppliers, conducting contract negotiations, and maintaining cost-effective, high-quality supply chains in line with company standards and project requirements. The Senior Procurement Specialist will analyze procurement data, track performance metrics, and collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, finance, and operations to align purchasing strategies with business objectives. This role also includes continuous improvement of procurement processes, adherence to compliance and safety requirements, and mentoring junior procurement team members as needed.
Qualifications

• Strong procurement expertise, including experience managing end-to-end Procurement processes in engineering, fabrication, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with Purchase Orders, including creation, tracking, and coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Supplier Evaluation, vendor selection, and performance monitoring to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Demonstrated capability in Contract Negotiation, including commercial terms, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for cost analysis, market research, data-driven decision-making, and reporting on procurement KPIs.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems and strong MS Excel skills for tracking and analysis.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and maintain professional supplier relationships.
• Relevant academic background, such as a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) are an advantage.
• Proven experience in a senior or lead procurement role, with the ability to work on-site in Shah Alam and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
