Position Overview:

The Carpenter for Windows Display is a crucial member of our team, responsible for crafting high-quality window displays that showcase our brand's products and aesthetics. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented professional with expertise in woodworking and carpentry techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Display Construction:

- Construct and assemble window displays using various woodworking tools and techniques, ensuring they meet design specifications and safety standards.

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and design plans to accurately bring display concepts to life.

2. Material Selection and Handling:

- Select and procure appropriate materials (e.g., wood, metal, acrylic) for display construction, considering budget and design requirements.

- Handle, cut, shape, and finish materials with precision to achieve desired results.

3. Customization and Adaptation:

- Customize and modify existing display structures to accommodate specific products or design changes.

- Collaborate with the design and production teams to implement alterations and adjustments as needed.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Conduct thorough inspections of completed displays to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

- Address any imperfections or issues, making necessary adjustments to achieve a flawless finish.

5. Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper tool usage, equipment maintenance, and adherence to OSHA regulations.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with designers, 2D artists, and other team members to understand display requirements and provide input on construction feasibility.

- Communicate progress updates, challenges, and timelines effectively to project stakeholders.

7. Problem Solving and Innovation:

- Troubleshoot and find creative solutions for any technical or construction-related challenges that may arise during display production.

- Stay informed about industry trends and new materials/techniques to enhance display construction processes.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a carpenter or woodworking professional.

- Proficient in using a variety of woodworking tools and equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design plans.

- Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
