We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Customs & Import/Export Assistant to support our daily import and export operations. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided for candidates who are willing to learn and develop their knowledge in customs documentation and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing import and export processes in compliance with Malaysian customs regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor daily customs and import/export activities to ensure all processes are completed accurately and within the required timelines.
- Assist in applying for and obtaining the necessary import permits, export licences, and related approvals.
- Coordinate with internal departments to collect and verify required documents and certificates for import and export shipments.
- Monitor and respond to customs enquiries, requests, and documentation requirements.
- Assist in preparing and checking product certifications and supporting documents required for customs clearance.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and relevant parties to coordinate shipment clearance and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customs declarations, shipment documents, permits, and other import/export documentation.
- Assist in checking shipment details, product descriptions, quantities, values, and other information to ensure accuracy for customs declaration and clearance.
- Ensure all required customs and shipment documents are properly filed and maintained for record-keeping and audit purposes.
- Support the team in resolving import and export documentation or clearance issues.
- Perform other duties and administrative tasks related to customs and import/export operations as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in any relevant field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Able to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
