This is a dual-function role combining technical detailing (panel layout, connection/fixing design, and shop drawings for metal ceiling, wall cladding, sun shading, and terracotta panel systems) with quantity surveying and quotation preparation (Bill of Quantities, vendor/factory costing, and margin-compliant quotation generation for the sales team).
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Detailing

- Perform quantity take-off and build the Bill of Materials for quotation.
- Develop and detail connection/fixing details for ceiling panels.
- Produce panel layout and connection detailing for terracotta panel systems.
- Produce panel layout and connection detailing for aluminium panel systems, with particular attention to the interface with the installation substrate — concrete soffit, steel structure, or other backing structure.
- Produce shop/fabrication drawings post-award.
Quantity Surveying & Quotation Preparation
- Calculate the Bill of Materials and prepare the Bill of Quantities (BQ) for each quotation.
- Source costing from external vendors and/or internal Hunter Douglas factories for all materials and components within scope.
- Apply Gross Profit (GP%) margin guidelines, as issued by management, to derive the sell price for each quotation.
- Generate the finalized, priced quotation document for issuance by the salesperson to the customer.
- Maintain quotation records and costing files so that vendor pricing and margin assumptions are traceable for reference, audit, or future negotiation.
- Liaise with the sales team to clarify scope, specification, and quotation timelines.

- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building/Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
