STAFF NURSE – OPERATING THEATRE (OT)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients before, during and after surgery.
• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating theatre, surgical instruments and equipment.
• Perform circulating and/or scrub nurse duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper patient identification, surgical site verification and safety procedures.
• Maintain strict aseptic and infection control practices.
• Monitor and document patients’ condition and nursing care.
• Ensure surgical instruments, equipment and supplies are properly prepared and accounted for.
• Assist with post-operative patient transfer and handover.
• Maintain proper OT records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs and patient safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the OT Nurse Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with valid APC.
• Staff Nurse with OT Post Basis are encourage to apply.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience; OT experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of surgical procedures, infection control and patient safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work well under pressure.

Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
