Procurement Executive

A well-established organisation within the automotive sector is seeking a Procurement Executive to support its purchasing and sourcing activities. This role offers exposure to structured procurement processes, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement within a professional, process-driven environment.



The Role

You will be responsible for supporting both strategic and operational procurement activities, ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier reliability, and timely delivery to meet business requirements.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support procurement activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing and sourcing requests from internal stakeholders
  • Conduct RFQs, tenders, supplier evaluations, and recommendations
  • Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and price negotiations with suppliers
  • Maintain and communicate approved vendor lists, pricing, and contract terms
  • Assist in supplier development, including identifying and assessing new vendors
  • Resolve supplier-related operational issues to ensure continuity of supply

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant procurement or purchasing experience
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Exposure to ERP or purchasing systems is an advantage
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
