What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience running or supervising production in a furniture, cabinetry, joinery, or similar manufacturing/workshop environment. We're flexible on years of experience — what matters most is that you've actually run a shop floor and can do it independently from day one.
  • Working knowledge of woodworking processes and quality standards (or a fast learner with strong general production management skills).
  • Comfortable managing people directly — scheduling, training, and holding a small team accountable to quality and deadlines.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially around materials tracking and quality checkpoints.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable documenting processes (SOPs, checklists) rather than keeping know-how in your head.
  • Able to make sound day-to-day decisions on the floor and knows when a call needs to go to ownership instead.
  • Basic proficiency with spreadsheets/documents for scheduling and inventory tracking.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience setting up or working with SOPs / standardized processes in a small manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with lumber grading and material receiving.
  • Bilingual (Bahasa Malaysia / English).

What We Offer

  • Statutory benefits (EPF, SOCSO, EIS).
  • Annual leave, medical benefits, other perks
  • A role with real ownership — you'll shape how the factory runs, not just execute the SOP.

Tanggungjawab

We're a growing cabinetry and furniture manufacturing operation, producing custom joinery and cabinet work for interior fit-out projects. We're looking for a hands-on Production Manager to run day-to-day operations on our shop floor (a lean team of around 20 production workers) — someone who can own scheduling, quality, and materials without needing everything escalated upward.

This role is central to how the factory runs. You'll be working closely with ownership to build out and maintain standard operating procedures, so that quality and output stay consistent even as the team grows.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and manage the daily/weekly production schedule, sequencing jobs against order deadlines and flagging conflicts before they become late deliveries.
  • Own quality control on the shop floor — set and enforce checkpoints (e.g. final inspection before packing), and catch defects before they reach the client.
  • Manage materials and inventory: oversee receiving and grading of lumber and other raw materials, track consumables, and reorder at the right time.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule shop floor workers; onboard new hires and sign off when they're ready to work a station independently.
  • Enforce workplace safety practices and lead safety induction for new workers.
  • Maintain and improve our SOPs and job aids — you'll be the process owner who keeps documentation current, not just a user of it.
  • Make routine floor-level decisions independently (job re-sequencing, minor material rejections, training sign-offs) and know exactly when to escalate to ownership (e.g. client change requests, one-off deviations from a written SOP).
  • Coordinate with the design/sales side to keep production timelines aligned with client commitments.
