Job Summary

Responsible for leading the company’s industrial relations function and advising management on employee relations matters. The role focuses on managing workplace disputes, disciplinary processes, grievances, and relationships with employee representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the handling of employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace disputes.
• Advise managers on the consistent application of company policies and disciplinary procedures.
• Oversee workplace investigations and ensure findings are documented objectively.
• Review case documents, evidence, correspondence, and proposed actions.
• Coordinate domestic inquiries where required and maintain complete case records.
• Prepare or review disciplinary letters and other industrial relations correspondence.
• Work with HR, management, and legal advisers on complex or sensitive cases.
• Liaise with unions and employee representatives where applicable.
• Support collective bargaining discussions and the implementation of collective agreements where relevant.
• Coordinate responses and documentation for matters involving labour authorities or external proceedings.
• Review industrial relations policies and recommend improvements.
• Monitor recurring workplace issues and propose preventive measures.
• Train managers on grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and employee communication.
• Prepare management reports on case progress, trends, and areas requiring attention.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote fair, consistent treatment throughout case handling.
