Key Responsibilities / Duties
1. Technical Training & Development
- Conduct technical and practical training for new hires in Sheet Metal and Assembly processes according to the applicable process scope.
- Ensure trainees understand and comply with applicable Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, drawings, specifications, and process requirements.
2. Competency Assessment & Qualification
- Prepare and conduct theoretical and practical competency assessments based on the applicable process scope.
- Evaluate trainees’ technical knowledge, practical skills, workmanship, and compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct re-assessment and additional coaching for employees who do not meet the required competency level.
3. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all training and assessments are conducted using the latest approved and controlled documents.
- Reinforce the importance of product quality, safety, traceability, configuration control, and process compliance during training.
4. Training Materials & Document Control
- Prepare and maintain training materials, practical exercises, assessment questions, and competency criteria.
- Review and update training materials based on changes to processes, equipment, work instructions, drawings, specifications, or customer requirements.
5. Training Records & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and competency records, including attendance, assessment results, qualification status, retraining, and re-assessment.
- Ensure training records are properly controlled, traceable, and readily available for internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
6. Production & Shop Floor Support
- Conduct practical training within the production environment where applicable.
- Work closely with departments to identify employee training and competency requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to employees experiencing difficulties in performing assigned processes.
7. Training Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training through assessments, workplace observations, and employee performance.
8. Safety & Workplace Practices
- Ensure trainees understand and comply with applicable safety, PPE, housekeeping, and workplace requirements.
- Promote safe working practices during theoretical and practical training.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Relevant working experience in Sheet Metal and/or Assembly manufacturing processes.
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in technical training, coaching, mentoring, or competency assessment is an advantage.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings, Work Instructions, SOPs, and specifications.
- Basic English proficiency
- Basic computer competency
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
