Job Title: Operations Manager
Position Summary
Responsible for leading all production activities for the site while ensure safety, regulatory compliance, quality and delivery standards are consistently met. Drives a performance-based culture through lean execution, talent development and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Plan, coordinate and oversee day to day operations to ensure timely, efficient and high-quality maintenance activities.
- Monitor production schedules, capacity and resources to meet TAT and delivery commitments.
- Maximize productivity by managing manpower planning, workflow balancing and shift performance tracking.
- Ensure availability of tools, parts and documentation to support uninterrupted operations.
- Implement and track KPI’s for productivity, efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other function to resolve conflicts in scheduling, priority orders and delivery commitments.
- Monitor operational metrics including yield, efficiency, labor utilization, rework rate, and customer satisfaction. Lead action planning for continuous improvement.
- Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance across all maintenance activities.
- Enforce adherence to SMS (Safety Management System) protocols throughout shop floor.
- Ensure full compliance with aviation regulatory authorities, internal procedures and other applicable local and international regulations.
- Oversee the execution of maintenance procedure in accordance with CMMs, MOE and regulatory guidelines.
- Partner with support functions to evaluate process improvements, update work instructions and implement efficiency improvements that align with regulatory compliance.
- Employee Engagement
- Create a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes responsibilities, accountability and recognition.
- Facilitate open communication and feedback mechanism to ensure high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Foster a continuous learning environment through training program, cross-training amd on-job development.
- Encourage knowledge sharing initiatives and create platform for mentorship between experiences staff and new recruits.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives including implementation of kanban systems, point-of-use inventory and visual controls to reduce waste and improve flow.
- Support implementation of inventory reduction strategies to reduce outages and excess WIP while maintaining service levels.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and mentor a high performing team. Implement performance reviews, competency matrices and career development plans.
- Ensure cross-training, upskilling, and succession planning to create a strong internal talent pipeline.
- Built internal leadership pipelines through coaching, training and delegation of responsibilities.
- Ensure continuity of operations by developing bench strength for key roles within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement and Strategic Execution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and process optimization.
- Identify and implement technology and automation solutions to enhance productivity and traceability.
- Forecast workforce and material requirement based on workload planning and business outlook.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control, resources optimization and financial performance targets are met.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates both theoretical and practical knowledge in the discipline.
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of working experience in an overhaul and repair (MRO) environment or other related manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in innovative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may involve coordination across multiple teams.
- Mature and tactful disposition, capable of fostering a collaborative team environment and leading the team through positive organizational or operational changes.
- Proven leadership qualities with the ability to manage, guide, and motivate a team towards achieving performance and operational goals.
- Capability to assess and develop both individual and team skills and competencies, in alignment with business and operational needs.
- Ability to identify, assess, and implement continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
