About the role
The Technician is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and breakdown assistance for motorcycles. The role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues efficiently while ensuring all repairs meet the company's quality and safety standards. The Technician will also be required to attend breakdown cases and unresolved technical issues at dealers or customer locations nationwide.
Key responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnose motorcycle mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using appropriate diagnostic equipment, tools, and technical manuals.
- Carry out repair, maintenance, and rectification work according to company standards.
- Attend motorcycle breakdown cases and unresolved technical issues at dealer outlets and customer locations nationwide.
- Provide technical support to dealers and assist in resolving complex motorcycle-related issues.
- Inspect motorcycle systems including engine, transmission, electrical system, braking system, and other related components.
- Ensure all repair and troubleshooting work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct testing after repair to ensure the motorcycle is safe and operating properly.
- Maintain proper and detailed records of repairs performed, findings, corrective actions, and parts used.
- Identify defective or damaged components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement.
- Follow all company safety procedures and workshop practices while performing technical work.
About you
- Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering, or related studies.
- Minimum 3 years of working and related experience in the automotive or motorcycle industry.
- Strong knowledge of motorcycle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes.
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and repair issues.
- Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel regularly as part of the job.
- Possess valid B2 and D driving licences.
