Document network changes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.Change Management: Participate in change management processes, ensuring that changes are properly planned, tested, and implemented with minimal disruption to data centre services.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and help desk personnel, to address network-related issues. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates on network incidents and resolutions.Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies, industry best practices, and advancements in network monitoring tools. Continuously enhance technical skills through self-learning, training, and certifications.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident reports.Shift Handover: Ensure smooth transitions between shifts by providing thorough updates and documentation to the next shift or manager.A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is often required.Experience: Relevant experience in a NOC or data centre environment is beneficial, with a minimum of 3 years being common for some roles.Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies eg. ITIL.Familiarity with network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.Understanding of network security principles and practices.Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and conducting root cause analysis.24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotations.
