Under supervision, the successful candidate will perform journey-level work on university HVAC systems and equipment. This work includes installation, modification, maintenance and repair as required. Work is done using necessary hand tools and testing equipment. The incumbent analyzes HVAC systems and controls to determine problems, and initiates repairs as directed by the supervisor.

Monitors HVAC systems and operations, and ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules and standards.

Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines) and associated systems, with hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on mechanical and rotating equipment issues.
Familiarity with maintenance planning, documentation, and reporting, including preparation of service reports and maintenance records.
