Assist in pre-planning, setup / teardown and onsite management
Source for and liaise with vendors and suppliers
Assist Event Director with servicing existing and new clients
Ad-hoc duties as assigned

The Event Executive is responsible for maximizing banquet and wedding revenues by creating and implementing sales plans for weddings, banquets and events. This position will report directly to the Senior Management.
• Develop ballroom promotions and packages
• Assist in developing banquet sales budgets and marketing plans yearly
• Execute, supervise and promote the marketing of ballroom facilities and business centres to existing and potential clients
• Achieve good sales and profit through making co-calls to new prospects and the ability to close deals
• Coordinate with operation and service staff on ballroom turnovers and other tasks to ensure events are well executed
• Respond to prospect’s inquiries, conduct ballroom tours and meetings
• Oversee the development/ preparation of contractors for all banquets/ weddings/events
• Work with Senior Management to determine package prices and menus for events
• Schedule all banquet functions and prepare event proposals, ensure contracts are endorsed and payment is prompt
• Ensure good communication with the client throughout the event regarding any changes, substitutions or special requests and follow up with client at the conclusion of the event
• Ensure all accounts are properly updated in the banqueting system
• Prepare reports and present on ballroom sales activities and monitor/ measure banquet performance
• To be present for events over the weekends
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior
Job Requirement
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration/ Marketing/ Hospitality/ Hotel Management or equivalent
• Minimum 2 – 5 years experiences in Events & Banquet/Ballroom coordination and management
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Competency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
• Highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented
• Must be marketing focus and sales driven with a positive working attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a team player
