Role Description The Application Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Shah Alam. This role involves providing technical support for industrial pump applications, including evaluating customer requirements, proposing suitable solutions, and assisting with system configuration. The Application Engineer will collaborate with sales and service teams, prepare technical documentation, support costing estimation, preselection with design in Pump systems. The role also includes coordinating with engineering teams to refine solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining accurate records of projects and service activities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Support skills, including diagnosing issues, providing solutions, and communicating clearly with customers and internal teams.
• Candidates should possess Software Development where relevant to system integration, configuration, and performance validation.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge, particularly in motor drives, control systems, and electrical safety related to industrial pump operations.
• Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of pump design, fluid dynamics, installation, and maintenance practices.
• Candidates should possess Testing skills to support functional checks, performance verification, and quality assurance of equipment and systems.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to work on-site at customer facilities as needed.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in industrial pumps or related rotating equipment is an advantage.
