Role Description The Metering Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing metering systems for electrical and flow measurement applications, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing site surveys, preparing technical specifications, overseeing installation and commissioning, and troubleshooting metering and instrumentation issues. The Metering Engineer will collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients to deliver engineered solutions, prepare technical reports and documentation, and support preventive maintenance and system upgrades. The role also involves coordinating with vendors, reviewing engineering drawings, and contributing to continuous improvement of metering and energy-efficiency solutions.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, instrumentation, and measurement principles, with experience in metering systems design and implementation.
• Experience with flow measurement technologies, control systems, and industrial instrumentation, including configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications, and to prepare accurate technical documentation and reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software tools and basic office applications (e.g., MS Office for reports, spreadsheets, and presentations).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to work on-site in industrial environments and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in EPC or industrial projects within the energy, utilities, or manufacturing sectors is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required and adapt to project-based schedules.
