Assistant Finance Manager up to RM10,000 for a service provider based in Selangor.

Your new company
You'll be joining an established service provider operating in a fast-paced and highly operational environment. With an evolving finance function and ongoing systems transformation, the business offers strong exposure and opportunities for career progression. They are looking for an assistant finance manager to join their team in their Selangor office.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day finance operations, with a primary focus on month-end closing, reconciliations and fixed assets.
Your key responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

• Managing the General Ledger, including journal entries and balance sheet schedules
• Performing month-end closing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Reviewing intercompany balances, reconciliations and netting
• Managing fixed-asset capitalisation, movements, depreciation and reporting
• Reviewing bank reconciliations, vendor statements and AP ledger records
• Processing vendor payments in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Preparing monthly management, group and regulatory reports
• Reviewing AR ageing and supporting collection activities
• Supporting budgeting, analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries and statutory authorities
• Providing guidance to finance executives and ensuring departmental procedures are kept up to date
• Supporting the upcoming Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation.

What you'll need to succeed

• A Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Approximately 3-5 years of relevant finance experience
• A combination of audit and commercial experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience in AP, GL, month-end closing and financial analysis
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, MICPA, CPA, CFA or equivalent would be an advantage
• Independent, responsive and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drill down into financial issues
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Able to work effectively within tight reporting deadlines
