Mastermind Tutor is a professional education service specialising in personalised 1-to-1 and small-group learning. Our structured approach helps students strengthen subject understanding, build confidence, and achieve consistent academic improvement.

We are seeking responsible and committed Chemistry Partner Tutors who can explain concepts clearly and guide students towards stronger subject mastery and examination readiness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online or in-person SPM Chemistry sessions according to the agreed assignment schedule.
• Explain Chemistry concepts clearly, including chemical equations, calculations, experimental procedures, and application-based questions.
• Identify learning gaps and adapt explanations to each student’s level of understanding.
• Prepare or adapt lesson materials in line with Mastermind Tutor’s teaching guidelines and assigned learning objectives.
• Guide students through structured practice, examination techniques, and corrections.
• Monitor understanding and reinforce topics that require further practice.
• Submit a session report after every session, recording topics covered, student performance, homework, and recommended follow-up.
• Maintain punctual attendance and professional communication through designated Mastermind Tutor channels.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a relevant field, such as Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Science Education with a Chemistry specialisation.
• Minimum grade of A− in SPM Chemistry. Applicants must provide their SPM result and relevant academic qualifications for verification.
• Strong command of SPM Chemistry content and the ability to explain concepts accurately and clearly.
• Good communication skills and the ability to adjust explanations to different learning needs.
• Responsible, punctual, and consistent in fulfilling agreed tutoring assignments.
• Patient, supportive, and professional when working with students, parents, and the Mastermind Tutor team.
• Able to commit to tutoring assignments for at least three months.
• Fresh graduates who meet the academic requirements are encouraged to apply.

Training and Academic Support

Onboarding guidance, teaching expectations, and session reporting procedures will be provided. Partner Tutors receive academic direction and support to help them deliver lessons aligned with each student’s learning objectives.

Professional Growth

Mastermind Tutor provides a structured pathway for Partner Tutors to develop their teaching capabilities and be considered for additional assignments.

Growth opportunities are based on teaching quality, student progress, reliability, communication, and consistent performance—not solely on years of experience.
