Interim IT Manager | Balakong, Selangor | 3-Month Temporary Contract

Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced IT professional for a 3-month temporary assignment based in Balakong, Selangor. This is a hands-on role overseeing the country IT environment, spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications and IT governance.

The Role

Taking full ownership of the local IT function, you will:

• Manage day-to-day IT operations covering infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity and business applications
• Act as the primary IT point of contact for local requirements, liaising with regional and corporate IT teams
• Oversee third-party vendors and service providers to ensure consistent service delivery
• Lead and support IT projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Maintain IT asset inventories and software licence records
• Ensure key controls - including disaster recovery, password policies and cybersecurity awareness - are effectively implemented

What We're Looking For

A strong match will bring:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure, systems support or IT management
• A solid grasp of networks, cloud services, cybersecurity and enterprise applications
• Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers
• A track record of leading IT projects and cross-functional delivery
• Strong planning, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, Microsoft, Cisco or cybersecurity credentials are a plus
