Responsibilities

Project Management

• Plan and run targeted sales campaigns for priority trade lanes using timelines and measurable KPIs.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure quotes, capacity and transit times match customer expectations.
• Track campaign performance and iterate on offers to improve lead-to-win conversion rates.

Sales & Business Development

• Prospect, qualify and close new accounts across sea, air and multimodal shipments.
• Manage key accounts and grow revenue through upselling of value-added services and contract renewals.
• Prepare competitive tenders, commercial proposals and negotiate terms to meet margin targets.
• Maintain CRM records, forecast sales pipeline, and report weekly performance to leadership.

Marketing & Customer Relationship

• Develop practical marketing collateral and digital outreach to support sales activities.
• Run customer segmentation and prioritise outreach for high-potential verticals or lanes.
• Collect market intelligence on rates, capacity and competitor moves to inform pricing and offers.
• Lead onboarding for new clients and ensure handover to operations for smooth delivery.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 5 years of commercial experience in freight forwarding, shipping or supply chain sales.
• Proven track record managing accounts, winning tenders and meeting sales targets in logistics.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of sea and air freight operations, incoterms, and export-import documentation.
• Comfortable with CRM systems, MS Excel and basic reporting tools.
• Familiarity with freight rate structures, carrier contracts and tender preparation.
• Experience using digital marketing channels and simple analytics to support lead generation.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Clear communicator with strong negotiation skills and client-facing experience.
• Organised, results-oriented and able to prioritise multiple lanes and accounts.
• Collaborative mindset, ready to work closely with operations, pricing and warehouse teams.
