Purpose of the position

The Chargeman is responsible for the condominium electrical and mechanical system, ensuring compliance to the standards set by TNB, DOSH, government agencies and other regulatory bodies on utility services safety and compliance. He is accountable for the smooth running of all electrical related matters and the safety of condominium residents from any electrical hazards.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical installations and distribution systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, including switchboards, distribution boards, transformers, generators, and related systems.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and rectification of electrical faults.
• Monitor electrical system performance and ensure all equipment operates efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements, applicable electrical regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain electrical logbooks, inspection checklists, maintenance records, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for electrical maintenance, testing, and repair works.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergencies, including troubleshooting and recovery activities.
• Implement safe isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work procedures where applicable.
• Support building facilities operations and other maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications & Certification

• Must possess a valid Chargeman B0 Certificate (Low Voltage without Generation) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent technical field.

Working Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience as an Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Proven track record in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of automated machinery.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial electrical systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
