Job Summary
The Head of Training is responsible for spearheading the technical training strategy and operational delivery across all automotive brand portfolios within the Group. This role will lead the development of high-impact technical and sales-technical curricula, elevate service quality across the dealer network, and oversee modern instructional delivery to drive workforce competency and business performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Departmental Leadership & Performance: Direct and manage the Technical Training Department across multiple brand portfolios, ensuring high operational efficiency, measurable training KPIs, and continuous competency growth.
- Curriculum Development & Evaluation: Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive technical and sales-technical training programs tailored to immediate product launches and long-term organizational goals.
- Modern Instructional Delivery: Oversee classroom, digital, and practical learning initiatives, utilizing blended learning methodologies, simulation tools, e-learning platforms, and technical workshops.
- Dealer & Sales Alignment: Formulate robust training frameworks supporting Sales, Aftersales, and the authorized dealer network to elevate brand service standards and customer satisfaction.
- Training Needs Analysis (TNA): Systematically assess skill gaps, competency roadmaps, and technical certification pathways for technicians, mechanics, and operational talent across the Group.
- Ad-hoc Strategic Initiatives: Execute specialized training projects and assignments as directed by Senior Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Training & Development, with substantial exposure to the automotive sector and sales-technical training environments.
- Communication Skills: High proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, with executive-level presentation, facilitating, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Credentials & Attributes
- Professional Certification: Certified Train-The-Trainer (TTT) by HRD Corp (NIOSH/HRDF) or equivalent automotive manufacturer technical trainer accreditation is strongly advantageous.
- Methodological Expertise: Demonstrated familiarity with performance-based training frameworks, LMS platforms, and modern instructional design (e-learning & simulator tech).
- Leadership Drive: Passionate change-maker with strategic thinking and people-development orientation.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
