Malaysian citizen
Working knowledge of lifting-machinery specifications under OSH (KKP) legislation and applicable design codes
Holds welding quality-control training/certification relevant to lifting-machinery manufacture or modification (e.g. CSWIP, NDT)
Qualifications & Experience (Any One)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering (MQA/BEM-recognised)
Minimum Experience: 1 year in lifting-machinery manufacturing
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering (MQA/BEM-recognised)
Minimum Experience: 3 years in lifting-machinery manufacturing
Level 3 skills certificate in engineering or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 5 years in lifting-machinery manufacturing
SPM or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 10 years in lifting-machinery manufacturing
Note: Experience must be specific to lifting-machinery manufacturing — unrelated industry experience (e.g. semiconductor equipment) does not satisfy this requirement.

Role Purpose
The QC Officer is responsible for making sure Methodcon's work is completed according to the required drawings, specifications, quality standards and company procedures.
This is an ownership role. The QC Officer is expected to build and improve the QC workflow, monitor the work, maintain records, identify problems and keep management informed.
The QC Officer should not wait to be told what to check or what to follow up on.
Role Ownership & Expectations
The QC Officer is expected to take ownership of the QC function rather than wait for daily instructions from management.
The role is expected to:
Own – Take responsibility for the QC system and quality records.
Build – Develop practical workflows, checklists, work instructions and inspection points for the team.
Monitor – Check that required processes are actually being followed.
Record & Track – Maintain evidence, inspection records, defects, NCRs and corrective-action status.
Report & Improve – Keep management informed of quality issues, risks, recurring problems and recommended improvements.
Where a quality problem, missing record or process gap is identified, the QC Officer is expected to take initiative to investigate, coordinate the required action and follow it through to closure.
Problems that affect safety, regulatory compliance, customer requirements or product acceptance must be escalated to the Operations / Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drawing Review
Review and approve drawings and purchase orders once the job is secured
Check and review drawing dimensions against customer requirements
Prepare detailed, step-by-step manufacturing work instructions in compliance with design and quality standards
Manufacturing QC
Inspect completed units against the product specific checklist (Dumbwaiter, Dock Leveler, Good Hoist and other lifting machines)
Pass units for installation scheduling; route failed units back to rework and re-test after correction
Maintain a Quality Control test log per job as the basis for the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
Installation QC
Verify materials on site match project specification before installation begins
Review the 3 point functionality video and installation photos
Review and countersign the service sheet before customer sign-off
Breakdown/Repair QC
Verify the diagnosis checklist and the repair-vs-replace decision are properly documented
Check after photos, functionality video, and signed service sheet before the job is closed
Preventive Maintenance QC
Verify the correct product-specific checklist was completed at each visit
Review photo/video evidence and the signed service sheet before job closure
Documentation & Compliance
Own and maintain QC checklists per product type as a formal Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
Maintain a defect/nonconformance register across all workflows, tracking cause, disposition, and closure
Support the Quality Control Manual required for JKKP registration (Quality Policy, ITP, Material Control, Design Control)
Coordinate with the certified welder to keep WPS/PQR/WQT welding records current
