We are inviting academically strong, dependable individuals to join our network as Biology Partner Tutors. This role requires subject expertise, thoughtful teaching, and the discipline to translate each session into purposeful, measurable learning.

The Role

As a Biology Partner Tutor, you will help students understand biological processes, connect concepts across topics, and develop precise scientific explanations.

You will work within Mastermind Tutor’s academic framework, supported by teaching guidelines and student-specific learning objectives. Professional conduct, preparation, and consistent follow-through are central to the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver well-prepared SPM Biology lessons through assigned 1-to-1 or small-group sessions, online or in person.
• Explain biological structures, functions, processes, and relationships clearly and accurately, using appropriate diagrams and examples.
• Develop students’ ability to interpret diagrams, analyse experimental data, and apply knowledge to unfamiliar situations.
• Guide students in using accurate biological terminology and constructing complete, logically sequenced examination answers.
• Identify misconceptions and adapt teaching to each student’s understanding, pace, and learning needs.
• Fulfil assigned learning objectives and assess understanding through focused questioning and structured practice.
• Prepare or adapt learning materials in accordance with Mastermind Tutor’s academic direction.
• Assign purposeful practice, review corrections, and reinforce areas that have yet to be mastered.
• Submit a session report after every lesson, documenting learning outcomes, assessment results, and required follow-up.
• Maintain punctuality, reliable attendance, and professional communication through designated Mastermind Tutor channels.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or a relevant discipline, including Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or Education with a Biology specialisation.
• A minimum grade of A− in SPM Biology, supported by an official results certificate.
• Strong command of SPM Biology and the ability to explain concepts accurately beyond memorisation.
• Effective communication skills, with a patient and structured approach to teaching.
• A professional attitude, sound preparation, and consistent fulfilment of agreed assignments.
• Willingness to follow academic guidelines, respond constructively to feedback, and maintain accurate session records.
• Availability to commit to tutoring assignments for a minimum of three months.
