Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced, capable and trustworthy Production Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our gold jewellery manufacturing factory. This is a senior and highly trusted position. The successful candidate must be able to manage the factory independently, maintain strict control over gold and production materials, lead the production team and report directly to management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for daily factory production and operations.

• Plan and monitor the entire production process from casting, stamping and chain production through finishing and delivery.

• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.

• Maintain strict control and accountability over gold, including gold issued, gold returned, work-in-progress, scrap, recovery and production losses.

• Investigate any abnormal gold loss, wastage or discrepancies immediately.

• Supervise production managers, supervisors, skilled workers and general workers.

• Improve productivity, workflow, quality and cost efficiency.

• Maintain proper production records and coordinate closely with the Accounting and Administration teams.

• Ensure machinery, tools and factory facilities are properly maintained.

• Maintain factory discipline, safety, security and confidentiality.

• Train and develop supervisors and workers.

• Provide management with regular production, gold-control and performance reports.

• Be capable of independently managing the overall factory operations when the owner or directors are away.
