Position: Assistant Manager – Spare Parts & Inventory Strategy

Are you experienced in spare parts, inventory planning and product strategy and ready to take the next step in your career?

Our client is looking for an Assistant Manager to lead spare parts product planning and inventory strategy, with a strong focus on stock optimisation, demand forecasting, product performance and inventory efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement spare parts product & inventory strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead inventory planning, demand forecasting and replenishment activities.
• Analyse stock movement, demand patterns, inventory ageing and product performance.
• Monitor and improve inventory turnover, stock availability and working capital.
• Develop action plans for slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory.
• Review product performance and identify opportunities for product range optimisation.
• Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, Finance and Operations teams to ensure effective inventory management.
• Monitor inventory KPIs and prepare management reports, analysis and recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to spare parts planning and inventory processes.
• Provide guidance and leadership to team members to achieve departmental targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in spare parts, inventory management, product management, supply chain or demand planning.
• Experience in automotive, industrial machinery, heavy equipment or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory optimisation, forecasting, stock planning and product lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory and business data.
• Good knowledge of ERP/SAP or inventory management systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Able to work independently and make data-driven business decisions.
