JOB DESCRIPTION

Position : Technician (Mechanical & Electrical)

Department : Technician – Connexion

Reporting Line : Business Development General Manager

Job Overview :

To carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment and facilities at retail outlets, warehouses and office premises to ensure safe, reliable and efficient daily operations.

Job Responsibilities :

A. Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

· Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment.

· Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults, equipment breakdowns and mechanical issues.

· Maintain lighting, power points, distribution boards, switches, pumps, motors and other electrical installations.

· Assist in the maintenance of air-conditioning systems, ventilation systems, exhaust fans and other building services.

· Inspect and maintain refrigeration equipment, chillers, freezers and cold rooms, where applicable.

· Carry out minor plumbing, piping, drainage and general maintenance works.

· Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating properly and efficiently.

B. Retail Outlet & Facility Maintenance

· Attend to maintenance requests and breakdowns reported by retail outlets, warehouses and the Head Office.

·Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues to minimise disruption to business operations.

·Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential faults, safety hazards and maintenance requirements.

·Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialised repairs, servicing and installations.

·Assist with renovation, equipment installation, relocation and upgrading works at new or existing outlets.

C. Safety & Compliance

· Comply with company safety procedures, electrical safety requirements and relevant regulations.

· Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely and with minimal disruption to customers and employees.

· Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper tools when performing maintenance tasks.

· Ensure electrical work is performed only within the employee’s competency and applicable authorisation requirements.

· Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Licensing or Certifications for Electrical / Mechanical Technician

List any licenses or certifications required by the position: IPC, BOST, EPA, CE, EMC, EMI, NRTL, NVQ, DPOR

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
