Job Summary

Responsible for developing and managing sales opportunities by providing technical solutions to customers, preparing quotations and proposals, conducting product presentations, and coordinating with internal engineering and project teams to ensure customer requirements are met and sales targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential customers.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
• Conduct customer visits, meetings and site visits to understand technical and commercial requirements.
• Promote company products, equipment and services to customers.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and business development objectives.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activities.

2. Technical & Product Support

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Provide technical explanations and product presentations to customers.
• Assist customers with product selection, specifications and applications.
• Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically suitable.
• Attend site visits and inspections where required.
• Provide technical support during the sales and pre-sales process.

3. Tender, Quotation & Proposal

• Prepare quotations, tenders, proposals and technical submissions.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, scope of work and tender requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to obtain technical and pricing information.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, competitive and submitted within the required deadline.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders.
• Assist in commercial negotiations with customers.

4. Customer & Project Coordination

• Act as the main point of contact for customers during the sales process.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Procurement, Service and Accounts departments to ensure smooth execution of orders.
• Follow up on delivery schedules, project progress and customer requirements.
• Attend customer meetings and project discussions when required.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and technical issues professionally.

5. Sales Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain proper records of quotations, tenders, customer enquiries and sales activities.
• Prepare regular sales reports and sales forecasts.
• Update the sales pipeline and follow up on outstanding opportunities.
• Maintain customer and project information in the relevant systems.
• Provide management with updates on sales opportunities, risks and potential business.

6. After-Sales Support

• Maintain good customer relationships after completion of sales.
• Coordinate with the Service and Technical teams regarding warranty, maintenance and technical issues.
• Identify opportunities for spare parts, maintenance, servicing, upgrades and repeat business.
• Follow up on customer satisfaction and future requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, engineering or related industries.
• Experience in industrial equipment, machinery, lifting equipment, overhead cranes or engineering services will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of technical specifications, drawings and engineering applications.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel for customer visits and site work.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and achieve sales targets.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
