KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements with accuracy and ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Perform analysis to validate financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
General Ledger & Record-Keeping
- Handle full set account.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date financial information.
- Maintain fixed asset register and computation of depreciation.
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and creditors statements.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and filed.
Audit Support
- Liaise with auditors during the audits.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and reports for auditors.
Taxation & Compliance
- Liaison with tax agent, complete annual corporate income tax submission according to local regulatory requirements and timelines.
- Possess the knowledge to prepare and submit Sales & Service Tax (“SST”) returns and exemption.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting regulations, ensuring company compliance.
Other Finance-Related Tasks
- Assist with the preparation of financial data for management reviews.
- Handle ad-hoc requests from management.
- Liaise with the Banker/Company Secretary in related matters.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
