Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, Education, Counselling, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related fields.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good organisational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Intervention Planning & Implementation

  • Plan and conduct individual and group intervention sessions based on each child's developmental needs and goals.
  • Implement evidence-informed strategies to support communication, social skills, cognition, behaviour, play, independence, and learning readiness.
  • Adapt activities and teaching approaches according to the child's strengths, interests, and learning style.
  • Monitor and evaluate children's progress regularly.

Early Intervention Programme (EIP)

  • Lead and facilitate EIP classes and intervention programmes.
  • Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning activities.
  • Support children's participation in structured and naturalistic learning environments.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate session notes and progress records.
  • Prepare progress updates, reports, and goal reviews as required.
  • Monitor programme outcomes and recommend adjustments when necessary.

Parent Collaboration

  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and intervention goals.
  • Provide guidance, strategies, and home programme recommendations to support carryover at home.
  • Participate in parent meetings and consultations when required.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Interventionists, and other professionals.
  • Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions.
  • Seek guidance and consultation when managing complex cases.

Community & Group Programmes

  • Plan and facilitate community outing programmes, social groups, and school holiday programmes.
  • Support children in generalising skills across real-life environments.
  • Ensure children's safety and active participation during community activities.

Professional Development

  • Participate in internal training, supervision, workshops, and continuing professional development activities.
  • Stay updated with current practices in child development and early intervention.
  • Contribute to programme improvement and quality initiatives within the organisation.
